Automatic Potato Separator

The roller-type potato separator machine uses multiple sets of parallel rollers as its core grading mechanism. During operation, the spiral drive rotates the rollers in the same direction, and the gap between the rollers gradually increases along the conveying direction, then potatoes fall according to their size through the corresponding gaps during conveying, achieving continuous sorting of 3-6 grades with a grading accuracy of over 98%.

Its biggest advantage is smooth conveying which can prevent potatoes from being squeezed or collided during transport, making it particularly suitable for the non-destructive grading of fresh potatoes.

Mesh potato separator machines use multiple layers of mesh screens with different apertures as their core grading mechanism. They move potatoes via vibration or a conveying mechanism with potatoes smaller than the mesh falling to their corresponding level for grading.

This type of separator is simple in structure and low in cost which is more suitable for small-scale farmers or basic processing scenarios. However, the vibration during the grading process can easily damage the potato skin and the mesh adjustment flexibility is relatively poor.

Weight-sorting potato separator machines focus on precise grading by weight. Through high-precision weighing sensors and PLC control system, they achieve weight detection and grading of individual potatoes with a weight error controllable within 0.1g.

It is widely used in scenarios with strict requirements for weight uniformity, such as premium potato packaging and export processing.
